Step count on Charge 3 is not accurate

Day 2 and unimpressed. Step counting is variable - it either counts or misses out several chunks.  Any solutions before I return it? Rather expensive non- step counter which doesn’t fulfil marketing promises - disappointed

Community and FitBit, hello

Half year ago I changed Charge2 for Charge3. I am strongly upset that the device works so badly.

I have checked setting some times - they are correct. But device:

1. It counts steps when I swim, having shower, doing something by hands sitting at a table.

2. It counts floors unpredictable. Last week I was at vacation. Every morning I went down 2 floors, run at a beach 5-7km, than went up 2 floors. But Charge3 fixed 27-30 floors. How is it possible?

3. Device is confused at displaying of the map of jog or walk. At activity list in can show the map from one of the previous activity. And when I come into the record of this activity - it shows real map.

 

All listed above are key function. And unfortunately I see, than Charge 3 is stopped being the adequate device and forces to think of replacement.

If FirBit knows about this problems and is going to fix them shortly - please, inform about this.

I'm working on trying to fix this issue with mine as well. I reset the device, took 100 steps and it counted 79 of them... what else can i try?

FitBit has know about this issue since the Charge 3 came out. There have been countless complains and they are ignoring the problem. I personally called the support desk on 2 separate occasions and had a rep reset the device. The problem was not improved. They promised to have a tech “specialist” call me. That never occurred. I logged contacted them via email an additional 2 more times. This was over a year ago, so simply was so frustrated with their device and the lack of customer service and care that I simply returned it. Good luck.
