Steps and distance are innacurate

I just finished an official 5k here in Houston and my fitbit says I've walked 2.89 miles since I got up.  My sister has 2,000 more steps than I do after finishing.  I'm really frustrated with this thing.

I've found over the last year that this product is likely the biggest farce ever perpetuated on the public with respect to actually doing what it is supposed to do. The jump from Charge 2 to Charge 3 is a slow motion train wreck.

How is it that this thing can be off by 20-30 bpm with no adjsutment to placement or band tension resolving the issue, but ending the exercise session, then initiating a new session on the device brings it back in line? Even then, 10 minutes into the second session I'm geting wild fluctuations in HR. I'm sorry, how did my HR drop from a steady 155 steady to 110 without changing pace, incline, or anything?

And the distance accuracy. Forget it. I understand that we all have different strides, so your mileage is going to vary, but what I've found is that as of 8 months ago, you can't go into the app and adjust the distance and see the recalculated pace. Go ahead, try it. Change the distance by .5 miles up or down in the iOS app, and tell me what you find.

Again, you are wearing a flawed, broken product. Fitbit needs to have its Come to Jesus moment, or they will find themslves in the dustbin of technology in short order. I think today did it for me. I'm ready to step off this rain and look for something else.

When you find that a product is innacurate on multiple occasions when you are paying attention to it, how can I rest assured that any data it records when I'm not looking is accurate. I'm convinced that this product is simply just making up numbers. Best of luck finding your answer, I'm sure they will figure out what you want to hear.
