Steps not recording properly with Charge 2

The app states that my steps are 3,893 but my Fitbit reads 8,644 which should be correct after my workout and walk

Put your finger on the home screen of the app. Pull down and let go.

Thanks for getting back to us and for letting us know that your app and Charge 2 show different step information @Keesha.

As  @Rich_Laue mentioned, you must sync your tracker in order to see the same information on your Charge 2 and Fitbit App. Check: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
