I notice when I go to the gym and use the treadmill my Fitbit Charge is not registering my steps. As I am usually on the treadmill for an hour this is a big waste. What am I doing wrong? Tried logging in and not logging in - no change.

First, are you holding onto the rails? Your arm has to be moving. Second, are you using the Treadmill function on the tracker? I usually don't have any problems when using it when I'm on the treadmill. You could also try entering it manually in Log Exercise by inputting your start and end times and distance taken from the treadmill display

Hi Joanie1211,
You can use treadmill function using your tracker. First you press the button few times until it show the picture "Run", then tap the tracker (don't press the button) until it shows treadmill. When you want to start, you press and hold the button (it will start to record your activity including time, calorie, and so on). When you want to finish, press and hold the button again...and Voila!! It will be recorded in your fitbit app 🙂
