Fitbit Update 04/28/2017: We are expecting that some Charge 2 users' stats will not reset at midnight on the night of 04/30 - the morning of 05/01. This is an issue that our team is aware of and working to resolve.
If you're affected by this issue, we are currently unable to retroactively fix/delete the steps that were accumulated. I apologize for the inconvenience and can assure you that we are working to get this resolved as soon as possible. I will make sure to share fix updates as soon as I hear of them and appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

Mine didn't reset LAST night (5/23/17). How do I adjust my steps manually? I woke up with 12,000+ steps and it is still adding.

My Charge 2 did not reset from 5/25 to 5/26. I called & was told that Fitbit engineering was working on an update to fix -- I hope so!

Mine didn't reset last night either. That's twice this week. Seems like a
fundamental flaw.

New Charge 2 out of the box yesterday. New Fireware update 22.53.4 with set up. Awoke this morning to to see I have done 14,190 steps and 8km in stats - no reset to zero at midnight. Location Brisbane UTC+10. How can I reset to zero in stats?

Hello @BDBrisbane, the shoet answer is you can't, the long answer us to read the top post in this thread that tells you what to do. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/More-customizable-clock-faces/idi-p/1672464
I would also do a restart of your tracker http://help.fitbit.com/?q=restart
These instructions are also found in the user manual. https://staticcs.fitbit.com/content/assets/help/manuals/manual_charge_2_en_US.pdf

My charge2 stopped syncing May 22 at 11:38. On my iPhone app it is in a constant state of syncing. I have no data for the entire week or since. It counts all steps during the day, but at midnight it all goes back to zero and wiping out the history, Odd, if I go back through the week, the only stat that remains is 1984 calories on every day. Is there a reset to stop the syncing? I did travel to the east coast that week. Could the time zone shift be the issue? Please help. I love the product.

On 25th, my battery ran very low level. I couldn't tell if I plugged it in on time. My Fitbit behaved strangely. It did not reset steps at Midnight. I noticed that the alarm was shown minus sign, and it did not work next morning. Please remove my Urban boot (15,000 steps) badge, and if you could clear my steps on 26th by taking the steps of 25th out?
Thank you.

So it appears that the following fitbits did not reset after midnight. Charge2, Alta and Flex2. or Was it the Alta HR? I currently own the flex2 this issue has been on going since Dec 16 and going by the forum entries for these others it seems to be the case for those also. I had hopped to change /upgrade my fitbit to one with no issues. But now it seems this is not possible. How frustrating , fitbit seem to be giving all fitbit users experiencing these problems the same standard advise and say they are working on the issue. And we are to be delighted that on the 2nd of each month they reset. WOW is this not what they should be doing everyday????? Don't know what to do now. I also see some have had problems with their fitbit failing to record steps. Anyone advise which fitbit will record steps accurately and update correctly? Many thanks forum members.

@snailspace1 Well, for me I have owned it from March til now, and this happened to me only once. If you count all the issues reports here I think it's not much compared to the overall Fitbit users. For me as a statistician, it's still in acceptable level of 99%. So I think it depends on your tolerance level, if you want it to be 100% accurate, Fitbit is probably not for you.
@ErickFitbit I have reported the issue a few days ago that my Charge2 didn't reset on midnight 25/26 May. I would like to have my urban boot badge removed, Thank you.

Just got my brand new HR2 5 days ago. It is no longer resetting steps at midnight. No time zone switch or major updates since it was initialized a week ago. I plugged in and restarted, but it did not help.

I still do not have an answer to my plight. ever since my east coast trip, it is in a constant state of "syncing" with my iPhone, but it does not record sleep times, and it no longer tracks the steps per hour function. very disappointed. Also, it loses it's memory of previous days so my weekly reports are problematic. I've reset the device several times when charging, but no help. This is a great product, please make it right or it will end up in a drawer. Where is the error? The iPhone program? It's been updated to latest version.

I've had the issue of my steps not resetting at midnight twice now. The first time it ended up resetting at about 730 am when I synced again. As of now it didn't reset at midnight, I noticed that for some reason the time on my fitbit was 5 hours earlier than the actually time. I went into my app settings and its set for automatic time zone, not sure why this would change?? Any way to get the steps to reset or should I just wait it out?

Hi Erik,
I see that this issue has been ongoing since January. I had the same problem today (30 September) - I woke up and my fitbit step count was already on 16000 (from the following day).
I have followed all the steps in the previous thread to reset my count for midnight, but is there still no way to remove the extra steps I have today? The whole point of a fitbit is to have an accurate record of daily activity.
I have only had a fitbit since May this year and already had to exchange one as it did not log my data correctly. It seems that we are told you are fixing things but never actually bother
