Fitbit Update 04/28/2017: We are expecting that some Charge 2 users' stats will not reset at midnight on the night of 04/30 - the morning of 05/01. This is an issue that our team is aware of and working to resolve.
If you're affected by this issue, we are currently unable to retroactively fix/delete the steps that were accumulated. I apologize for the inconvenience and can assure you that we are working to get this resolved as soon as possible. I will make sure to share fix updates as soon as I hear of them and appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

My charge two didn't reset my steps back to zero from yesterday. I tried resetting the device and it didn't work. Any other thoughts?

Hi, @Jblack4, this can happen if for some reason your Fitbit did not "see" midnight, so did not get the signal to reset to zero. The most usual rason for this happening is if you changed timezones or your Fitbit updated around midnight.
Unfortunately once this has happened there is no real solution except to wait for the following day. You are usually advised to do a restart -- not because this will reset your steps (as you have discovered it will not) -- so that all background activities are closed down and to ensure that the problem won't recur.

This happened to me yesterday. I switched time zones. I didn't realize my Charge 2 changes times automatically. It switched back to the correct time on its own but never reset the step count. I reset it and that didn't help. I have turned off the automatic time zone feature. When midnight tonight rolls around will my step count automatically reset then?

@Jblack4 @nihahi Restarting the tracker will not resolve the steps that rolled over to today. Your steps will automatically reset to zero at midnight.
Our team is aware of this issue and working to get a fix for this out as quickly as possible. If you got any badges that you'd like for me to remove due to the steps rolling over, please let me know the name of the badge so I can get it removed. Thanks for your understanding and hoping to have an update on the fix as soon as possible.
@RogerPolk I appreciate your understanding. Hoping to have an update on the fix for this issue soon. Will keep everyone informed when I hear of something new.
@jwright0814 Your experience is unique as your steps didn't reset due to the change in time zone. Your steps will reset tonight at midnight, but I recommend checking out these tips for traveling with your Fitbit to prevent this from occurring in a future instance.
@isdu Glad to hear that you weren't affected by this bug. Thanks for sharing that everything is looking good for you so far!

Hi @ErickFitbit,
I can report that my Charge 2 steps did in fact reset overnight. When I woke this morning I looked at my Charge 2 immediately and the steps count was at zero.

Hi @ErickFitbit,
I can confirm my Charge 2 step count did in fact reset overnight, the step count this morning was zero.
I would also like to take this opportunity to express how pleased I am with my Charge 2 which I purchased in March of this year from Manchester Airport. I wear it day & night, only removing for showers and charging purposes.
It has become my constant companion.
As stated in a recent tech review : 'the measure of an excellent activity tracker is one that you will want to wear' .
Well done Fitbit!

I forgot to wear my Fitbit last night, and it didn't reset its data at midnight, now it added the steps from yesterday on top of today's steps....

My charge 2 isnt syncing since 30/04.
It seems to sync but data is always the same in the app. I think the reason of the trouble is this issue. Do you think i am right?
Thank you

Mine did this from 5/1 into 5/2 (this morning) instead of 4/30 into 5/1. I'm assuming this is the same issue and everything should go back to normal after tonight? I'm in a step challenge at work so this will make it a little more difficult to track, but if it's just the one day, the math shouldn't be too difficult. 🙂
Thanks for your help!

Does this also include floors/stairs? This hasn't been working since yesterday?
Thanks

@RogerPolk I am happy to hear that you're enjoying your Charge 2! Thanks for sharing your experience.
@Cathytian @mikote2000 I recommend keeping your "all-day sync" setting turned on in the Fitbit app to prevent this from occurring in the future. Your steps should have reset overnight and should be good to go now.
@HKuhnle Yes, everything should normalize tonight. Thanks for your understanding!
@Elaine78 Nope, floors tracking should have reset at midnight. Did you experience anything different?

I got my Charge 2 in December. I had the rollover problem about 3 times before March and three times in March. One of them was one of the time changes.
I read a post about the Flex having the same problem in 2015. Someone suggested the device wasn't recognizing midnight. I set my alarm for midnight, and it wouldn't sound except for three times after when it vibrated at 12:06. One of these days last night. The other days there were a lot of people whose steps rolled over.
For those who don't mind being woken up once in a while, I suggest setting the alarm for midnight. You can always turn the notifications off at night and the effect should be the same.

I have been having issues since 4/30! Charge 2 will not sync but steps reset to zero at midnight. Now when trying to sync it I get 'tracker not found'. When will this be resolved? Or is there a fix for it?

Hey all.
I'm still having issues with my charge 2 connecting to my android. Been at least 3 days and no change. Tried everything that came to mind. Even uninstalled the app but still no go.
Any words of advice? Renee
