Steps not updating in challenge

Hi there. I've been reading threads as far back as 2015 and still haven't found a solution. My steps are recording accurately on my profile, and my Fitbit is synching properly. However, in my challenges, my number of steps shows as lower than what it should be. I am not adding anything manually, and all challenge participants are in the time zone. I have logged out and back in, reset my Fitbit Charge 4, and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. 

Help?

Having the same issue here. Logged 26k steps but only 17k showing up in the challenege. Looks like they've not done anything about this bug for years though...
