Charge 2 suddenly starting to skip some of my sleep recording? Is it getting too old? Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi there!

From my side, my last day of sleep insights is from Monday - I purchased the Charge 2 a number of years ago because of the sleep insights data (less so about the score, but my heart rate and time in sleep stages).

Now, the screen shows that if I want my sleep score, I need to unlock premium.

There is nothing mentioned about sleep insights though, and no sleep info since Monday.

I would appreciate understanding what I can do to get access to my regular sleep data and if fitbit intends to maintain it as a regular feature, the sleep score.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @edithc @brie-cheese

Same here. My Sleep section is broken ‘yet again’. I also purchased my Fitbit mostly for Sleep recording etc.

Sleep has broken many times over the past 6months etc. It’s really getting old isn't it? Along with many other failings with Fitbit lately (Sadly; its just no longer what it used to be).

I wouldn't be surprised if the powers that be 🤔 are breaking area’s momentarily; is an Impromptu/addenda leading us all to Premium. ‘Which I won’t use - or fall for‘

:light_bulb:If they offered a paid add-on’s service for features that are personally customizable us - for the categories relating to our own personal fitbit needs/experience. That would be a great option. i.e. instead of paying ridiculously high monthly fee for things most of use wont use in going Premium. - my idea would be ‘pay monthly or quarterly or even an annual fee of one or more of a premium addon options you’d want to apply to your fitbit.

Not this ridiculous monthly amount they’re charging.

Premium is being pushed down our throats - now offering 90 day trial.

The sad catch is - your credit cards getting hit monthly after that automatically (its the only way to get the 90day trial) and your going to have too pay monthly or later cancel to get out of the auto-bill deductions 😶

Tut-tut Fitbit 🤦🏼‍:female_sign:
I loved my Fitbit over the many years; You've slowly wore our relationship down; too my now wanting out.

The recent changes of (Google Buying Fitbit) and all these Bugs/Gliches/Faults + the aggressive push to Premium; is my cue to say goodbye too Fitbit.

The old Fitbit had a much better (Privacy stance). I don't like everything about me and my health + sleep being in the hands of Google, the big data aggregator, not selling my soul to you anymore “Sorry Google. But I’m out”.

Purchased an Apple watch today.
and will use a highly recommended comprehensive/customizable App for my needs.

I wish I could have waited too purchase the newer Apple Watch version that is usually released at the end of this year; it will now be held-up due to CoVid19 😞

Its reported to come with Sleep monitoring as an default to its Apple health feature. The series 5 does sleep tracking etc. but you need the added App to get the results.

I’m sorry to be posting here about another product. But enough is enough.

Thanks Fitbit for all the years that Ive enjoyed you up until the passed 6 to 12 months. I would have continued to be a loyal Fibit advocate. Sadly; you’ve lead me to bow-out gracefully. 😕

Regards & Goodhealth

🙏🏻

Update!
This morning my sleep insights and sleep score is there - I just have a gap from Tuesday through Friday inclusive.

I still have a notice to upgrade for Sleep Score Details, however.

Definitely interested in understanding what features related to Sleep will be considered free and which will be considered premium so I can evaluate my options.

Thanks in advance!

(Tech details - Charge 2 to an IPhone 7 running iOS 13.4.1, and my Fitbit App is up to date as well)

I too have issues with the sleep section of my charge 2. Especially the date recording side of things. Like this week I have Wednesday recorded twice (don't remember there being 2 Wednesdays) and it's asking me to add data for Saturday (today is Sunday) but it's showing data for last night in my app for sleep. Also all my dates are out by one day as in it thinks today is the 25th of April but it's the 26th.

This has happened before but I don't know how to fix it.

My Fitbit stopped recording sleep since Wednesday.  When you pay for a product, features shouldn’t be removed or stop working.  First notifications stopped and no matter what I do, I can’t get then back and now it stops recording sleep.  This is an expensive device  that features shouldn’t stop working on.

an Apple Watch it starting to look like a better purchase

Mine stopped with sleep first and now my screen is black although the green lights on the back are flickering. It's only 2 years old!
