Dear officials of Fitbit.

From yesterday My Fitbit has started misbehaving by switching screens itself, notification on/off itself and battery getting drained out in just few minutes..

I have tried all possible solutions suggested on the community page to resolve but nothing is happening and as soon as I am recharging the device it start doing the same.

Hi there, @Saurabh2309 - Thanks for the nice salutation but we are mostly just volunteers here, helping each other out. Have you tried restarting your Charge 2? Instructions are here. Please try restarting 2 or 3 times. Hopefully that will convince your Charge 2 to behave.

Hi @Saurabh2309, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post regarding your Charge 2 performance, certainly your device isn't working as the way it was designed. Let me share with you that the battery of our Charge 2 was designed to last 5 days but this also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much. After doing so, please this help article for more tips and recommendations.

Just as our dear friend @SunsetRunner suggested, please follow the below steps to restart your Charge 2 and let us know how it goes:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.

Thanks for replying @RicardoFitbit .

I have been charging my Fitbit through computer only and there has been 2 days the problem is not getting corrected and as soon as I am charging the cable and rebooting the device, it again start misbehaving by shifting screens on its own, notification getting on/off etc.

I have carried out the charging and rebooting activity at least 6 times since yesterday but nothing different is happening.

The Fitbit is not allowing me to take control of any activity on the device.

Please see how can you help me.

Hello again, @Saurabh2309 . May I ask ... from where did you purchase your Charge 2? And how long have you had it? It’s not been available in the Fitbit Store for quite a while.

I am having the same experience. I have tried everything suggested. The battery completely drains within minutes of unplugging from any power source. This is very frustrating. I rely on my Fitbit. Please advise.

Support team is just wasting my time by saying they don't have repair centre and my product is out of warranty so they can't help on the matter..

This is really frustrating as I am willing to pay for the device repair but don't have the option to do...

I am thinking of writing an email to Mr James Park CEO of FITBIT to reconsider the business model in case technical issue in the product after warranty period and there is no place to get the product repaired....

The watch is a costly product so fitbit should consider such requests...
