For the last couple weeks or so my Charge 2 has had intermittent sync issues, and every time it does, the app shows "Firmware update available" at the top of the screen. However, I haven't been able to update the firmware. Every time I try, it says "Searching for your Fitbit Charge 2" then stops after a minute saying "Not working? 1. Keep your Charge 2 nearby. 2. Enable Bluetooth. 3..." etc.
A couple times I've just restarted my phone and the sync issues seem to clear (and no "Firmware update available" message is shown in the app). Is there an actual Firmware update available? Mine has version 22.22.55.2 currently. And my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7.
Thanks

Hello @bchisholm3 thanks for your post and bringing this to my attention, I'm happy to assist you with your concern. It's nice to see you again participating in our Community, welcome back.
Seems odd that you're receiving "Firmware update available" message while you try to sync your device because your current Charge 2 firmware version, which in this case is 22.22.55.2, is in fact up to date. Can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many since then? Also, is your Fitbit app and mobile device up to date? I'll be looking to your reply to move forward. I appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting your device prior posting, if you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? as a workaround for the syncing difficulties you're experiencing.
Keep me posted, I'll be here.

This issue started a couple weeks ago (don't recall exactly when) and it was happening almost every day. I went through the typical troubleshooting steps as listed in the article you reference, including checking that my phone and app were current. As of today, the app had not synced since Sunday, so I went ahead and uninstalled/reinstalled it on my phone and that seems to have "fixed" whatever the issue was.
