Syncing problems with a phone I have synced on for almost two years

Just for the sake of hopefully helping folks get the full usage of an expensive device that seems to lack in productive customer service.  My Charge 2 has had 2 syncing issue in the last three months.  I went through all the gyrations I was sent through with customer service, all to no avail, as none of the procedures dealt with the problem.  I note here that several fitbit users with this product and others were having these same issues.  My Wife who is using another fitbit also could not sync her device.  We have been using fitbit devices since 2012 and will not be buying any more devices from fitbit.  It seems there is a practice to just forego the issue and propose to the customer a discount on a new device.  Frankly I don't think folks should have to consider buying a new device at over 100 dollars around the time the warranty just conveniently runs out.  I have opted to purchase a couple of 10 to 20 dollar ebay products that have even more features.  It's a shame because I like the fitbit website, but I am willing to forego it because of the poor customer service provided.  How do I know that if I do purchase a new product that this issue won't present itself again.  In fact it already has, I just didn't take a suspicious note of it the first time.  This all being said, I did find a work around for the syncing issue, with my device and my Wife's for the time being.  We synced our devices to our Amazon Fire tablets.

I don't know why fitbit does not realize the importance of syncing.  My device still collects data, but if it does not sync and collate with previous data, it defeats the purpose.  Without this feature I might as well put on a manual pedometer and record my own data before I go to bed at night.  Fitbit you lost two loyal customers, it's a pity, because you could have prevented it.  Sooner or later you will realize the error of your ways.

I agree, since the last firmware update, my charge 2 only syncs once a day, despite the fact that I have all day sync turned on.  It won't even manually sync using the sync button on the app.  Seems the firmware "update" caused the problem.  I see4 others with the same issue, but no response from fitbit.  Sad.
