Taking 3000 steps to register a mile

The last few days it’s been taking nearly 3000 steps to register a mile. I usually register a mile every 2100-2200 steps.  Has anyone else noticed this problem lately?

That should be a function of your stride length.  If somehow it got set to a smaller value, that would correspond to more steps per mile, though I don't know how it might have gotten changed.
