Text messages/phone calls don't show up on my fitbit

How do I get my fit bit and my phone linked back up so when I get text messages they come through on my fit bit.  I have the Charge 2 fit bit.  Can anyone help me so that I can get this set up again from my phone to my fit bit again.  I enjoy that feature. I had it then it went away. I would like to get it back again

Hi, I have a G5 and I've been told personally on the phone that my phone
won't work with my Charge 2. It worked in the past, but with the new update
they didn't include it. Thanks anyway.

I'm having the same issue with my Charge 2, yet nothing is helping me. I have never been able to receive calls, but I used to get text messages. However, neither one is coming through now. I stopped getting messages in about June of this year, only 2 months after I had gotten my Fitbit. I'm disappointed, and I hope this issue is resolved in the future.

I really valued that feature and am so disappointed in not having it work - mine has not worked since I got it - I was hoping that maybe something happened during set up but haven’t been able to figure it out to date

I am still not receiving texts or phone call messages on my Charge 2 with an iPhone6.  I haven't for  a long time, it worked for a while then quit.  I gave up, sure would be nice to have them back again.  One of the main reasons I bought this Fitbit.

Have you checked to make sure the Charge 2 has notify cat one turned on? 

Does the phones Bluetooth show the Charge 2 as connected?

No. The problem is with FitBit and or Apple?  If it is FitBit, I don't think the CEO will be around in 3 months!  Incompetence on so many levels!

however, knowing how Apple slowed down older phone to try and sell new phones, it is probable that they sabotaged FitBit trying to sell iWatches?

i think it is clear that Tim Cook was a mistake and will be retired soon.

Try the simplest first. Double check to see that you're notifications on your fitbit is still turned on. It's like checking to see if your tv is plugged in before calling a repairman. Next, try uninstalling your fitbit app, then reinstalling it. Good luck.

Unfortunately I did try this solution to no avail.  I am so disappointed since I really enjoyed that feature. Seems I'm not the only one with this issue.

I had to uninstall it. Then put it back I also chat with one of the
customer service reps.

Without knowing what type of phone imI'not sure what to recommend. 

Have you made sure that notifications are turned on. on the tracker itself .

That the app has permission in the phones settings.

I went to fitbit website also and chat with customer service and they were
lot of help also.
