How do I get my fit bit and my phone linked back up so when I get text messages they come through on my fit bit.  I have the Charge 2 fit bit.  Can anyone help me so that I can get this set up again from my phone to my fit bit again.  I enjoy that feature. I had it then it went away. I would like to get it back again

Thank you Peggy

You need to "pair' it in your phone settings.
Then press the button on the side of the fitbit and prompts should come up
asking if you want to receive notifications, yes or no.

You setup the tracker to your account, then the Fitbit app will ask permission to connect(pair) the tracker. This pairing can not be done by the user through the phones bluetooth option.

My Fitbit had but the dust. I think I've had it for 18 months or so and it's dead. It worked beautifully but I noticed it needing more charging time. Then it just stopped. Is this how long a Charge2 !asts? I would not recommend this if that's the case.

Hopefully someone who understands apple will stumble across this thread and help out, or I can move the apple people over to the apple forum.

Mine has randomly stopped working too. I have a Samsung A8 and it worked perfectly but now it's not. I've tried all the suggested options online I can find and still no help. My fitbit is less than 12 months old.

I'm not sure which of the suggested options you have tried are.

Logging out/in?

Through the app disable then enable notificatins?

,Checking the settings in the app and permissions on the. phone?

Phone settings / notifications / is Fitbit allowed?

Phone settings, apps, fitbit, notification enabled?

Me settings apps / Fitbit, / permission allowed?

Does the Charge 2 show up as a trusted device in the Bluetooth?

I assume that the help files on notification has been reS

I had inadvertently disabled notifications because of the weird way of
recharging the Charge 2. The connector held down the button a long time
before I got the charger attachment in the correct position. Once I
learned about that on this community site, and held down the button again
to get the correct responses, notifications started again.

I've done all of the above and I've uninstalled the app, deleted my fitbit from the app to re pair it, reset the fitbit etc and it just isn't working.

The tracker isn't showing in my bluetooth list no.

I have given up on this feature.  I have tried everything possible, all the suggestions and it still doesn't work  It worked for about 2 weeks when I purchased the fitbit.  This is the main reason I bought this Fitbit.

Until the tracker shows on Bluetooth list notifications probably will not work.

With the setup of the tracker, the app should have asked for permission to connect the tracker to the phone.

It does ask and it says it's getting ready to connect then it returns to the main app screen with no notifications whether it's done or not but obviously it's not.

I have bluetooth connected to other things so it's not my phone...

The other BT things are probably the old BT and get connected by the user through the phones BT menu. Fitbit uses low energy BT and the app needs to set up the connection.

Try logging out of the app and log back in. My android then asks to set things up. And then send a test notification.

I'm assuming notifications are turned on, on the tracker.
