How do I get my fit bit and my phone linked back up so when I get text messages they come through on my fit bit. I have the Charge 2 fit bit. Can anyone help me so that I can get this set up again from my phone to my fit bit again. I enjoy that feature. I had it then it went away. I would like to get it back again
Thank you Peggy

Nothing! Must be soft wear failure that they should fix?? Fraudulent Marketing to still list this as a feature of the FitBit Charge 2.

I'm also in the same boat unfortunately. Wish I could get it working again it was a very nice feature to have. Makes me second guess if I should get my oldest daughter the new Alta she wants. Will this do the same to her??

Mine was a stupid mistake also, if I hadn't put "Notifications" on as a menu item for my fitbit as I tried to figure out why it wasn't working, I never would have seen it say "Notifications Off" as I cycled thru the menu items. So I held the button down until it said "Notifications On" and it is back! Today when I was going to charge it up I must have turned it off again as I was trying to attach the charger, now I know to check it every time after I charge it in case I do it again.

Oh no. They dropped quite a few ones. The developers were too lazy and decided it was way too much work for them to keep the phones they had. They are conspiring with the phone companies to make us purchase new phones or upgrade our fitbits to ones that compatible.

Hi everyone sorry to hear that you aren't getting your notifications on your Charge 2. First make sure your phone is compatible to sync and get notifications. There are many non listed phones that can sync but I can't guarantee they will work flawlessly. After this check the Charge 2 itself has notifications enabled (not in the Do not disturb mode) by long pressing the button while viewing the time (not on any other menu item). Now regarding the phone many of you haven't mentioned which one you have but restart the bluetooth on your phone (for iOS users running the latest iOS version you will need to actually go to the settings area to properly turn off and on the bluetooth as the Control Center won't do this). It would be better if you log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in and after this restart your tracker by doing the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
Take into consideration that the Fitbit app will use your phone's privacy settings so check them (Apple users may find this post helpful). On Android go to settings > Privacy/Security and make sure your messages show on the lock screen and also give the app the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions).
Finally go to the bluetooth settings area and delete any and all devices listed there then go to the app and retry syncing them to refresh the link.
Let me know how it goes!

@Rittersport you are right in regards of the restart instructions (I have corrected this already on my previous post). My post was intended to help everyone so this is why I explain the instructions in general terms. Definitely your iPhone SE is a compatible device. Also here are the instructions to restart a Charge HR (although I am sure you have tried this several times):
1.- Plug your charging cable into the USB port and insert the other end into the port on the back of your
2.- Fitbit Charge HR. Your Charge HR will begin charging.
3.- Press and hold the button for 10 to 12 seconds until you see the Fitbit icon and a version number (e.g. "V30").
4.- Let go of the button.
5.- Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
I posted the Charge 2 instructions since this is in the Charge 2 board, not sure if the Charge HR has any firmware issues at this point as a new one was released a few weeks ago but it would be worth retrying the update if you still get the notification to update your tracker. Still thank you for letting us all know what support has told you.
I'll be around!
