Text messages/phone calls don't show up on my fitbit

How do I get my fit bit and my phone linked back up so when I get text messages they come through on my fit bit.  I have the Charge 2 fit bit.  Can anyone help me so that I can get this set up again from my phone to my fit bit again.  I enjoy that feature. I had it then it went away. I would like to get it back again

I'm still hoping to find out what type of phone you're having issues with and are asking about. 

Until we know what Operating system the app is on we can only give general answers.

It's a Samsung A8 - think I mentioned that in my first comment. Software is up to date.

Thanks for the tips - I've tried them all and it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference sadly. From what I'm reading I'm not the only person having this issue...seems a common problem...

This conversation is officially moot. My Fitbit has passed on. It's dead. Gonzo. It began a few weeks earlier with the fitbit not holding a charge and then it just died. And of story. A Fitbit has an average life expectancy of maybe 18 months or two years, if you're lucky.

Have been on hone with support many times without any results. Text do not appear on my sense 2 as they did on my previous sense 2.  Not sureplease at else to do . If any one knows how to activate this feature please share
