There appears to be an issue with all Fitbit Charge 3 devices after update

I have been monitoring this forum for the past hour or so and it seems I am not the only one facing these issues. 

 

-screen is black

-will not stop vibrating

-will not hold charge/charge at all

-will not reset

 

When screen was on:

-lines across screen (corrupted display)

-will not swipe

 

I attempted the 8 second reset several times. This didn't work. I was about to factory reset the device when the screen went black and will not turn back on. Still vibrates. 

 

I had to buy a new one last night because I depend on my device. I have had several Fitbit devices in the past. I never had the issues I have with the Charge 3. I did buy another Charge 3 because I believe it is the best device but I am curious why this is such a wide-spread issue???? Not cool.

When did you get your Charge 3? They've been defective since day one.

It looks like I have very similar issues with my Charge 3. I already comment about the app in the Google store and got the comment back from Support that probably my phone is not compatible with the FitBit… well no, I cannot agree as I got mine for Christmas last year and it was working pretty fine apart from the first issue in January after some updates so it didn’t want to sync, reset helped then but that was already annoying event.

Most of the problems started after latest update:

- doesn't want to sync despite that it does sync occasionally when after connecting with the charging cable (???) – I am not going to take the cable everywhere with me if the battery can lasts 7 days (which is great by the way, love that),

- the app itself - when I'm refreshing it says no device detected (?) again how if when I am going to the profile it shows Charge 3 is connected - what is it then magic?!

- doesn't show the correct time - for God sake it is a watch with fully charged battery, doesn’t have internal clock to keep it correct?

- doesn't show correct date, sometimes only when after charging is updating the time and the date but at the end of the day when Ch3 is not connected to the charging cable anymore the times is wrong again (slowing down?);

- screen doesn't work - I cannot swipe to get to the settings to reset it, and it looks like the watch is frozen, I have the old-style watch screen, so the hand of a clock doesn’t move;

- reset with the charging cable doesn't work either. I tried all the methods from the forum, 8 seconds, 15 seconds, - no smiley face for me - doesn't work anymore, it did in January, ah and olso when connected to the charging cable doesn’t chow the battery level, doesn’t do anything but when disconnected you can see that it was actually charging;

- I tried to change the watch face but.. no, Ch3 decided it won't do it and the only thing is to disconnect the device which I did using the app but good luck with connecting it again.... the app says, "we found your tracker!"…  no, you have not as this is how far we can go with it. Once I’ve got notification to add the pin but of course the screen on the watch at this time didn't want to light up so I could not read it, but at least the battery is full, so the charging cable is working,

- corrupted screen with not like most of the people with white lines mine has black if you can say that on the black screen, it looks like one or two rows of pixels do not light up.

I am sorry if my comments feel very sarcastic and angry, but I am seriously annoyed and disappointed. I loved it, the Chare 3 was great, no GPS (for that money hmmm well) but okay I can live without, cool to follow your sleeping pattern, the calendar, the exercises (could be more, I hope the team will add more), the app itself (old one) with screen going green if you did well, waterproof watch, all that little things, alarms, etc. etc. great great great and it is SMALL on my small wrist it looks good. I was serious fun of both the watch and the app… Now I wish my boyfriend bought me something different for Christmas, different manufacturer maybe.

Anyone can help? I would really appreciate that. I want to love my fit bit again 😉 .

The problem has been solved unfortunately my watch has to be replaced ;-(. The FitBit Support Team was very patient with me and helpful.

I have written about the same issues, it seems that fit bit does not stand behind their product. I soon nothing will be done about The dim screen or the lines that are going through it. I was hoping to hear back from someone from fit bit but I have not heard anything in 2 months. I also soon this is happening because they want  us all to purchase a different fit bit like the charge 4 or versa.
