Tips on Stopping Corrosion?-Charge 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello! My first Charge 3 got the white lines of death, so I got a replacement less than a year ago for it. I’m outside of the warranty now, though, and the replacement is corroding on one of the underside’s charging contacts. It’s a red-brown sort of rust. I’d show a picture, but I just cleaned it again with a gentle buffer and it now looks halfway normal. The rust will likely be back in a few days unless I figure out how to stop it, though, so I could take a picture then!

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to stop the corrosion from coming back? There’s otherwise nothing wrong with the device (that I’ve noticed, anyway). It’s over-sensitive to certain things (like stairs taken; good gosh is that way off), but is generally fine!

Help would be much appreciated. ^_^

Edit: I got creative and tried damp baking soda on the contacts since it’s one way to remove corrosion from video game cartridges. It doesn’t appear to have helped.
