I have calendar notifications turned on. My wife and I share a family iCal.
Something has changed recently where I will get a ton of deleted calendar notifications from her. She, likewise on her Versa, get a ton of deleted calendar notifications from me. Neither of us are deleting any calendar entries. The deleted notifications are very burst - I’ll get 3-5 all at once and then none for several hours.
This did not happen a few months ago.
Turning off calendar notifications is not an option...
help!

Hello there @MattJK, thanks for getting back. I totally understand where your concern is coming from. This seems really odd.
What I recommend for you both is to reset the notification to set them again. Please remove your Charge 3 trackers from the phones' Bluetooth settings, turn off other Bluetooth connections that aren't in use and set up your Charge 3 as a new device and set up the notifications again.
Give this a go and let me know if the issue persists.

Hi there @MattJK, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided about the calendar events you and your wife are receiving.
To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you received the first repeated calendar notification? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to
check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Charge 3 and Versa are correctly configured, also, you can re-setup notifications one more time to see if that solves the inconvenience with the repeated notifications.
Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Still having the issue. Please note that we are not seeing repeated notifications. We are seeing a ton of deleted events from our shared calendar. What is interesting is I only see events that have been deleted that my wife created and likewise she only sees events I created. We are not actively deleting the events, I suspect iCal is purging them. This is very annoying.

Did that. Still seeing the deleted events. Can you check with the developers if:
Again, this is something that started only about a month ago.

Thanks for the detailed information @MattJK. With third party apps, note that Fitbit doesn't own or maintain third party integrations. It's up to the owner of the third party app to implement or update features for their app so in this case is recommendable to contact the third party developer to learn more about future implementations.
To contact the developer please open their app on the Fitbit App Gallery, scroll/swipe down and under "App Details" you will find the information.
Let me know if you have any questions present.

What a disappointing reply. This is the fitbit app that is the issue. Neither my nor my wife’s phones are showing deleted notifications - it’s just our fitbit devices that are showing them.
The fitbit app is hooking notifications from iCal, iMessage, iMail, etc. Apple hasn’t done the integration - fitbit has. Please reach out to the developers to discover what is broken.
I also assume you have seen the *dozens* of discussions about problems with notifications and your app. I would think that should make the fitbit developers suspicious of something that they have changed.

Same here. Just deleted events, tons of them. Not sure when it started but I’ve been dealing with it for months

I removed the agenda app for now and that seems to have fixed it. Can’t remember why I had that app as calendar notifications are native I believe?? Must have been the agenda app causing my problem?
edit: full disclaimer, I had also unselected a family shared calendar in My iOS calendar app and then later selected it again, so the events would appear again in the calendar. That too could have played a role.

On iphone or ipad try adjusting your calendar sync settings: Settings, Calendar, Sync, All Events
If you have your settings to sync one month then the iPhone will remove the events from your ical calendar. This could be sending eroneos notifications for shared calendars.
I have been experiencing the same thing with an Outlook Shared Calendar. This makes the fitbit unuseable.

I came here searching for a solution to the same problem but it seems I’ve discovered a fix (at least a fix for my particular version of the issue). I’ve had this problem with 2 different fitbits but it seems to be about calendar events created by partners that haven’t been acknowledged. I have a tendency to let them pile up it seems. If you go into the the calendar app, then click on inbox (bottom right) for me I had 150 “messages” saying my partner had either added or deleted items. I had to go through clicking ok on them all and now the fitbit has stopped going crazy every morning telling me about them all.

Same with mine. I see continual deleted events. They reoccur and reoccur the exact same ones that I’ve previously closed ! It happens during the night too and I now can’t wear my inspire at night because the vibration of the notification awakens me. My husband doesn’t get any deleted notifications. He deletes the calendar events but I get notifications? . Up to 20 times for each one. I close them and they just reappear. Have trawled through dashboard settings but just can’t switch them off. I’ve looked at iPhone settings but that doesn’t work either unless I manually turn off Bluetooth every night. Please fit bit help- there are many people having the same issue.

Not ideal but if you want rid of calendar events completely click into settings (top left profile picture in the Fitbit app) then click on your device name (e.g. Charge 5) then Notifications and toggle Calendar to off. I’ve also discovered that the notifications happen repeatedly if they aren’t acknowledged on the iPhone. Open Calendar on iPhone, click on inbox (bottom right - you’ll probably see a number in brackets) you’ll see a section called “shared calendar changes” and if you click “ok” on each one then they will stop nagging you. It’s annoying because you have to do this every time you get one. Might be possible to use the shortcuts app to create a shortcut to do this automatically but I haven’t investigated. Hope this helps some of you.
