Total active zone mins and activity list mismatch

My active zone minutes for day show as 50 mins but my activity tracker only shows 3 activities with a total of 23 zone minutes. So it seems the charge 4 is recognising the extra activities but not displaying in the itemised list. I've tried resetting the Fitbit already and it's still not showing.

@NikCB , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

Depending on the heart rate you were when the measurements were taken, the value of the active zone minutes might vary.

Heart-Rate Zone Active Zone Minutes

1 minute in the fat burn zone 1 Active Zone Minute
1 minute in the cardio or peak zone 2 Active Zone Minutes

For more information about heart-rate zones, see How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps you further.

@NikCBI too have had the same problem. I spent hours on the phone with Fitbit CS and have even gone through a number of troubleshooting steps. Nothing seems to resolve it. For me, it sometimes shows the right number of active zone minutes to at least match the activity but at other times, it shows that I have recorded for example, 60 active zone minutes but no activity in my activity tracker.

I also had the bizarre effect of having my charge 4 record active zome minutes when the watch was in my handbag and not on my wrist (the strap was broken and I was waiting for a replacement watch). I now have to spend more hours on the phone to fitbit CS and I am waiting to be told how silly I am for not realising that my handbag has a heart rate

The issue seems to be that the activity tracker only shows 3 activities, even if you had more than three recorded throughout the day. The original post was clear that it was the zone minutes specifically that don't add up.  We understand a zone minute might be more than an actual minute. Yesterday I had a workout that was technically 16 minutes but 31 zone minutes: 30 cardio zone minutes (15 min x2) and 1 fat burn zone minute. I then show 2 other moderate activities with fat burn zones of 6 and 18. 31+6+18=55. But I'm showing 77 total zone minutes for the day. There are activities that resulted in zone minutes that aren't in the itemized list. We'd like to see all of them, not just the last 3.

This might be helpful. I am a blind user and I’ve never seen the screens but I think I do fairly well at navigating the Fitbit application. Today I clicked on zone minutes. Then set the screen to week. Then clicked on a day where I had approximately 200 zone minutes.

I scroll down to where I could see three activities listed. Below that I saw where I could click and expand to see all of my activities. There were approximately 18 different activities visible I did not count each one to verify a number.

all of the activity was classified as moderate and ranged in time from 90 minutes down to two minutes.

because the Fitbit screens are not always fully accessible to people who are blind and not all Field headings are available I have to guess as to what the fields are actually titled. So I will not try and interpret the data for others.

@JuanFitbit What about other issues that I and other users have had with the Fitbit’s recording of the active zone minutes?

Are we not worthy of help or a response?

The recent rebranding of Fitbit and Fitbit by Google may be a good thing. It did not have a disability support team to assist its users. Noting the change I called Google disabilities to 14 where I had a wonderful conversation about issues as they related to the blind and reading disabled community. I emphasize that there were many issues brought up in the 50th community that were not being addressed and had not been addressed for a considerable period of time. I have received communication back from my disability contacted Google stating that the information has been forwarded to the people working on the Fitbit Google transition. Among the issues they brought up were sleep time steps creek and zone minutes not matching. I also brought up the fact that apples voiceover was not fully functional with the Fitbit application software. As a result of the conversation I believe that the Google software development team working with the Fitbit application development team will be working to correct the issues and make the Fitbit by Google product something more functional for all of the Fitbit users.
