Touchscreen feature stopped working on my Charge 3

Hi,

the touchscreen of my charge 3 is not working.

I have tried the long shutdown and it straight afterwards it responds to touchscreen and I can scroll through the options but it will only allow me do this once and then is unresponsive again.

I have rebooted the device and changed the clock face but this has made no difference. I have to rely on the app to give me the information I need, all I can see on the screen is the time, date and my step count I can’t get any further than that screen.

all help would be much appreciated.

Hi @Nessw80, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the touchscreen feature of your Charge 3 stopped working. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

In order to avoid any confusion on my end, let me know if the long restart process that you tried, was performed as listed below:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  8. After this, try setting up your tracker from scratch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Hi

i have tried this a number of times over the last few days but to no avail! ☹️
the touch screen works once while in the charger and then as soon as it is back on my wrist it stops working!

what do I do now?
