Tracked exercises not showing in app charge 3

Walks tracked through the charge 3 'exercise' section on the watch are not showing on my Fitbit app. It's also not autotracking exercises. 

When I leave the house for a walk, or do a workout at home I swipe, click exercise on the watch, select walk/workout and do the workout. At the end, I press and hold to finish and read the summary. 

Today I did a workout video and then walked 12,000 steps. 

The summary showed on the watch each time, and the steps have synced to the app, but the exercises aren't showing in the exercise section of the app. 

It's been happening for a few weeks and now I'm just getting annoyed. I've restarted the watch according to the instructions on the Fitbit website. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Neither worked (tried two times of each). 

Also, the alarms are acting weird. They're not always going off.
