So I just got a new Fitbit charge 2 today. And I heard that when you turn your wrist it's supposed to light up but mine won't. Also it doesn't respond very well to the tapping. Can anyone help me??

It is best to tap at the bottom of the screen where the band attaches.
For QV make sure the forearm is close to parallel with the floor before rotating.

Welcome to fitbit!
The automatic lighting up is called "quick view" and there is a setting that enables / disables this. Check that the "quick view" setting in your device settings at https://www.fitbit.com/settings/device is set to "show clock"
Tapping takes a bit of getting used to. The screen is not touch sensitive and relies on its motion detectors to recognise a tap, so it has to be a fairly sharp tap.

I cannot find anywhere how to sync the tracker watch and the application... it has not synced for 14 hours, thus does not show any of todays activities... Am I missing an easy fix somewhere?

Not sure if this is proper place but need to start somewhere. Two issues for me - one huge.
Number 1: There must be a better way to track stairs. Mine does a really poor job on that. I have season tickets for baseball and I go up and down long flight of stairs to my seat - sometimes one up and down, sometimes two. Rarely do I get proper "credit" for them. Sometimes it's 0, sometimes 1, occasionally 2, sometimes 3...... It simply is inaccurate. Hopefully someone can come up with a better way for device to recognize flights of stairs.
Number 2: Fitbit does not know how to recognize steps when pushing a wheelchair or shopping cart. Much of my walking is done pushing my mother's wheel chair. We just returned from 4 days in Vegas where I did mega-walking, yet according to my Fitbit I didn't walk any more than a normal day at home. Extremely frustrating. I would really like to know how many steps I walked! I hope there is a way someone can figure out how to solve this problem because, otherwise, this just doesn't work well for me.
Additionally, another large part of my walking is walking my 3 dogs, and it's hit and miss on that too. So I really have no idea my number of steps when I'm doing my most walking.
Thank you if you can provide any enlightenment or hope for the future.

@HopeFit, id be more than happy to help here, whatntracjer do you hsve and what device do you use to sync thr tracker.
When you open thd app it will try and sync your tracker.
@Siberciser, I'm assuming that you have an arm mounted tracker, and therefore it is looking at arm motions to determine what the feet are doing. If the arms are not moving in s way that the tracker thinks that your walking steos will not be counted.
When it comes to stair counting, the tracker won't look for stairs unless it sees your walking.

I have a Charge 2. I have the app on my android phone, but that's not a problem. It brings over the stats perfectly. The problem is with the tracker not being able to record my steps properly. It's impossible to move my left arm with every step when I am pushing the wheel chair or shopping cart, or even walking the dogs. When I go up and down the stairs I am either carrying something or using the handrail. Obviously arm movements aren't always the best way to tell if feet are moving. I don't know what the answer is - or if there is an answer. Just very frustrating for me.

i think your arm has to be swinging mine phone is in my pocket so I get a better number because it measures when my hips move from side to side hope that helped.
