Tracking a run on my Charge 2, map not showing up on Fitbit account

While using my Charge 2 and with the "Run" button selected and tracking on my watch, why don't my maps show up on the Exercise section of my phone app? Do I have to ALSO have Tracking running on my phone? I thought just turning on tracking on my watch would turn on GPS and mapping?
