Tracking heart rate but not calories burned

I haven’t worn my charge 2 for several months as it was misplaced.
Since wearing it again the last few weeks my graphs for cycling after syncing are correctly showing  heart rate variations but my calories burned is not tracking as it used to. Whereas calories burned used to follow the graph of the heart rate it is now just showing a constant horizontal line and 14cal/min. My rides vary from 1 - 2 hours but the graphs show the same data. I’ve reset the watch but it has made no difference. Is this a new update to just show the average, up to February my graphs corresponded with each other.

Hello @SpenceA, it's good to see you around in the forums for the first time, welcome.

Thank you for your inquiry about the calories; could you please provide a few extra details about what you've been experiencing? Please let me know if you're only seeing this in the graphs or if you're experiencing it with any specific activity as well. Are you seeing this only in the Fitbit app, or the dashboard as well?

Keep in mind the calories burned while you're not wearing the device will correspond to the  basal metabolic rate (BMR), which is the rate at which you burn calories at rest just to maintain vital body functions like breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity.  This is estimated based on the physical data you entered when you set up your account: sex, age, height, and weight. Make sure that all the information in your account settings is correct.

If you do feel that the amount of calories burned is too high based on your personal setting, please try to restart your tracker once more following these steps, and check if you continue to experience any trouble.

Let me know if you have further questions.

All my info is correct. I’ve reset it 3 times and it’s made no difference.
if I cycle an incline my heart rate is higher , a descent is lower.  The calories burnt per minute used to follow this graph for as long as I cycled or walked be it 15 minutes or 3 hours. All I get now in calories burnt is a horizontal line saying 14cal/min for cycling , 6 for walking.  I very much doubt this is correct.  How would it be that on a 10 minute cycle climb and then a 5 minute descent when my heart rate varied from 120 to 160. Normal pace is up and down depending on effort , it doesn’t show anymore.  Thanks.
