Trouble doing a factory reset on Charge2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a new Charge 3 that I am happily using, and have found a friend who wants my old Charge 2.

I have removed the Charge 2 from my account (that was easy), but when I power up the device itself, it still says my name. I've searched the forum and tried all the suggestions for factory resetting, to no avail. Any new suggestions?

Considering that the Charge 2 does not have a factory reset procedure I can understand your problems @btrinx

Once your charge 2 has done its last sync for you, remove it from your Fitbit account. Now go into your phones Bluetooth settings and remove the Charge 2 from your phones Bluetooth list of trusted devices.

And finally go to the notification list on the Charge 2 and clear all.

Now hand the Charge 2 to your Friend.

I would also help them create a Fitbit account and help connect the Charge 2 to their account.

As they setup the Charge 2 to their account they will have the option to create their own greeting name which will overwrite your name.

Also your stored height, weight, gender, etc will also be overwritten by their stats.

Then become Fitbit friends and invite them to a challenge!
