Turn off screen during night

Is there a way to turn off the screen to my Charge 2? It wakes me up at night while turning over because of time coming on the screen. Turning off the notifications doesn't help.

Hey there @Mullisa, it's nice to see you around the forums! Woman Very Happy Not at this time my friend, you'll need to manually turn off the Quick View during nights.

I'd recommend checking out our Feature Suggestion Board if you haven't already. This is a space where Community users can post features, ideas, and suggestions that they'd like to see in future Fitbit products, accessories, and software and top-voted suggestions get relayed to our product team for review.

I'd also recommend up-voting and commenting on Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping, "Night Mode" feature suggestion since it is very similar of what you're looking and asking for.

In the meantime, if you decide to turn the quick view off during nights, here are the steps:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon.
  2. Tap or click your device image.
  3. Find an option to turn off Quick View.

Hope this helps, I'll be around if you need further assistance!

I was afraid of that. I stopped using the Charge 2 during sleep because of this problem.

I don't think is a big software fix to be able to have the hours you want the quick view active.

@dkatana Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 lights up during your sleep. Please do add your vote to the suggestion that @MarreFitbit mentioned. Also some members use a sport band around the tracker at night. This way you can get your heart rate reading while avoiding any interruptions during your sleep time.

Let me know how it goes!

UPDATED: after I posted I found the answer. At least for the charge 3. You hold the button on the side and it gives you the option to turn the screen off. So helpful!

PREVIOUS: Hi. I have a charge 3. Thank you for trying to help! These might be old instructions but the instructions you gave don’t lead me to a place to turn off quick view in my app. Are you able to update this to reflect exactly where to find that? I would really love to not have to return my Fitbit - I forgot how annoying it is to have the screen turning on all night. 😞 I agree with the others, I don’t know why there isn’t an option to set the times when quick view is on and off. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for this - we have just turned off Quick View using this method on Charge 2. The plan is to turn it off at night and back on in the daytime.

But the Quick View option has now disappeared from the menu! I see a few other users have had this, and have had to reinstall the device. Surely we don’t have to do this every day??

Also, if this is the only way to turn Quick View back on again, will reinstalling the device wipe the data?
