Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Carolslife43. It's nice to see you around and thank you for your help, @Odyssey13.

@Carolslife43 Thanks for the details shared in your post. I recommend confirming your brightness setting and making sure Sleep Mode is not turned on. For more information about navigating your device, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device? If the issue persists, try restarting your device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

By the way, I've moved your post to Other Charge Trackers board so we can keep our forums organized.

Hope this helps.

It's a common problem that happened to me and many other people (check other messages in this forum). I hope they would be able to help you, unfortunately they just sent me to buy a new device.

Uh - she's asking about the CHARGE 3, NOT the Versa.  Geesh.

I contacted fitbit regarding the matter they said the watch is out of warranty but they did offer me 35% off a new one. Why would I buy a new one knowing now that it is a manufacturing fault. You think after spending £200 (at time of purchase) you would get a better warranty with the watch.

After posting here I contacted Fitbit Customer Service via an online chat.  Very nice & patient person (I'm a techno-idiot) walked me through both a "short" restart, & then when that didn't work, a "long" restart, which DID solve the brightness problem, but only for a short period of time.  She/he did give me a case number to use to contact them again if the issue doesn't resolve itself, so guess that's going to be my next step.  Right now I'm getting a bright screen every once in awhile, but dim the rest of the time.  Very annoying.
