Two devices on one account

Is it okay to have two Fitbit devices (for example, an Ionic and a Charge 2) on the same Fitbit account?

I've done that and can't find a way to specify which device's data I want to see when I bring up the Fitbit app on a smartphone or fitbit.com on a desktop computer. And I see sleep cycle info only for the Ionic no matter which smartphone or desktop computer I log into our account with.

Yes, you can have more than one fitbit connected to an account as long as they are different types of fitbit.

You don't need to select which one to display as the data from both is merged into the one dashboard. There's information on this here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1715/

I use two trackers, it works.... ok. As long as they are far apart.. like at home and at work. Some data don´t transfer between the trackers and the Charge 2 is more dominant than the Blaze. When I have both at home (occasional charging) I put the Charge 2 in a tin can to let the Blaze more easily connect to my phone. Apart from that... all is good.

Is there some technical reason why this only works with two different devices?  I now have a second Charge 2 that I cannot use because the app will not accept two of the same device.

Thanks
I was able to find that Xozus asked for the same feature and gave it a +1.

Wish me luck!
