Unable to Pair Charge 3 with Motorola Moto G6

Since the last update I have not been able to pair/sync my Charge 3 with Moto G6.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled the app, rebooted the phone, turned blue tooth off and on, rebooted the Charge 3 device.  I have still not been able to pair.  Now my phone will not even find the device when trying to pair.  I work in IT, so I know how these things go sometimes.  A news banner at the top of your webpage or in the app to let users know there is an issue would be an improvement so that we are not spending hours trying to fix it.

Hi @butterfly_wv01, welcome to the Community Forums.

 

Thanks for the troubleshooting performed before reaching out. To better assist you with this, please confirm if you're trying to setup (pair) or sync your Charge 3. To do so, you can open your app > tap on your profile picture, if you see the Charge 3 listed there it means it's paired to your account.

 

If you're trying to sync your device, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app, then reopen it.
  2. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. If your Fitbit device doesn't sync, restart it. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  4. Open the Fitbit app.
  5. If your Fitbit device doesn't sync, restart your Android phone.
  6. Open the Fitbit app.
  7. If your Fitbit device doesn't sync, uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
  8. Open the Fitbit app.
  9. If your device doesn't sync, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  10. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone and try to sync.

I cannot pair using bluetooth.  My phone cannot find the Charge3 any longer.  Today when in the FitBit app, strangely enough it shows my Charge3, it was not there when I posted to the group.

It's great to hear you're able to see your Charge 3 on your app. If it's not syncing properly, please follow the steps provided on my previous post.
