I have a brand new ( and extremely frustrating ) fitbit charge 2.
I attempted to connect it to my Huawei P8 Lite when it failed to connect I did some research and found that it isn't compatible with that model of phone.
So .......I have tried to connect it to my laptop which has wndows 10 on it - it is totally unsuccessful.
Windows 10 is fully up to date there are no updates outstanding.
I have uninstalled and re installed the fitbit app.( twice)
I have charged the fitbit fully and restarted it several times.
I have bluetooth turned on . ( turned it off and then on again numerous times.
Restarted the computer numerous times!
I bought this brand because I was told it will connect with the weightwatchers app....
I am very frustrated with this and feel like just returning it and getting my money back - Surely it shouldn't be this difficult ? How do I know this is not a faulty fitbit ? ( i saw one other post with a similar issue and they said theirs was a faulty fitbit.
I have once found the fitbit ....if I go to settings- devices- devices and printers - add a device ( then press the button on fitbit and it will show up in the add a device window) but after that I could do nothing else with it! However I just tried doing that again and it didn't show up in the add device window!
Any suggestions ? or should i just return it and get my money back?

Welcome aboard @Playourhandwell! I appreciate the time you have taken to try those tips to pair your new Charge 2 with your Windows 10 computer. There is something that I'd like you to make sure that the Fitbit app that is installed on your computer, is updated to the latest version. You can find more information in this post. If the issue persists, let me know. 😉

I am also ready to toss my Fitbit... It no longer syncs with either my Android phone nor my laptop. I have tried every suggestion in the forum. Yes, I have a Charge 2. Yes I have windows 10. Yes I have the app. Nothing syncs anymore, I'm just wasting my time wearing it...

I have a Charge 2 and like a lot of other people I have the sync problem with Android phone (see https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Charge-2-not-syncing-since-app-2-82-update/m-p/3086268# for a possible solution).
I had attempted to sync it with my 'PC' when I first bought the fitbit with no success, but it was syncing with the phone then so I didn't worry.
Yesterday I went through the loop of connecting it to my 'PC' so my solution may help you.
my 'PC' is a tablet/laptop/desktop hybrid (Surface Pro) running Windows 10.
what I found by trawling old posts (sry can't give credit to anyone in particular cause the info was spread across the many posts I scoured):
- install the fitbit app from the windows store.
- turn off any Bluetooth running on any other devices trying to connect to your Charge 2 (eg your phone)
- find the Charge 2 bluetooth device on your laptop (I never had success before with this until I did 2) above
- sync with fitbit app
- turn on bluetooth on your phone
it seems the Charge 2 is incapable of connecting to a new device (eg laptop) if already in bluetooth communication with another device (eg phone).
hope this works for you.

Hi,
Sadly I never found a solution to this issue. I contacted the tech department and we decided that the item was faulty. I returned it and got my money back (Amazon). I then purchased a Huawei Charge 3 and it connected immediately and works well.
