Brand new Fitbit Charge HR out of the box, sat around the house for a while.  I charged it fully and it turns on.  I am trying to set it up and unable to connect bluetooth and set up using my Mac or iPhone.  When I hold the button for 3 seconds it starts and stops the stopwatch.  When I plug it in I can get it to turn off but no device registers a connection.

The reset only happens when you have the Charge HR plugged in and charging. Then hold the button until it flashes- could be 20 seconds.

 

If you are wearing it, the same button starts the stopwatch.

When I plug in and hold the button down after about 20 seconds, it gives me the Fitbit icon with v30. Nothing happens when I hold for 3 seconds or more to start the bluetooth step to sync to my app either on my MacBook or iPhone.

How long did it sit around the house?

When these batteries are not charged for long periods of time it will destroy the battery?
