Using Charge 2 again but won't sync to phone or restart

I haven't used my Charge 2 in about a year.  I changed it up over night but now it won't sync to my phone and when I try to restart it and I push the button in the steps it shows the notifications on\off.  It has the wrong date and time that is why I tried to do a factory restart.  When I plug it in and hold the button down the logo comes up.  I unplug it and release the button for one second then push it again.  That is when the notification screen pops up.  I can't get past the notifications screen.  Thanks for any help

@Crutch333 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing nor restarting. During the restart process you don't need to unplug the device, keep it plugged and press the button between 4 to 15 seconds to restart it. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you, that worked.  It is synced.  It has a firmware update that it will not do.  I'll keep trying, at least it is synced again with the right time.
