Versa lite stuck is swimming mode

I can't get out the exercise app for swimming. Nothing works it's just stuck and still thinks I'm swimming. The pause button has a little dot next to it. How do I fix it?

I just tried swim mode on Versa and got same result.

I got out of via restart, not factory reset.

1. Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
2. Let go of the buttons.

Unfortunately I can't do either of your suggestions as I cannot get off the swim screen that is still clocking up the fact it thinks I'm swimming. It's totally Stuck

What happened when you tried a restart, holding in the left button for 10 seconds?

Thank you that’s done it, I hadn't been holding it in long enough
