I had the same problem a few days ago and now my screen has lines & is totally distorted. Just over a year old, so now Fitbit only gives me 35% discount. I guess Fitbit products are only good for 1 year and then dispose??

Hello @NanaOfTwinsPlus, welcome to the community forums!
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide your feedback! I apologize for any inconvenience caused but the reason why a discount was offered, is because your Fitbit device might be out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for a replacement. Note that in order to provide a replacement device, the product should meet the requirements and one of them, is to be within the warranty period. For more information, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.
On a side note, I'd like to let you know that our team ensures that our Fitbit devices go through rigorous testing to ensure that they meet the high-quality standards expected. However, due to some factors that are beyond human control, materials that these trackers are made of, also reaches its limitation. Same with other devices, it may encounter a manufacturing issue that we can only determine once the user has experienced it. Thanks for your patience!
See you around.

My Charge 3 has the same thing happening. I too have tried restarting the device with no results. I fear that this means the Fitbit is on its way out. I have had it for over a year. I tried contacting customer support and wasn’t able to get through. Very disappointing.

I can't even keep track... This is either my 3rd or 4th Charge 3 that got the horizontal stripes across the screen after a matter of months. I'm not even going to bother trying to get another replacement, especially since they don't make this one anymore and the reviews for the Charge 4 and Charge 5 don't seem to be any better. I've had Fitbits for over a decade. I love the app and the Charge 3 was my favorite device, by far. But if you can't even see the numbers, it kind of defeats the purpose. These are too expensive to have to replace every few months, especially when the replacement is often worse! It's 2021, we have much
better technology than this! I hate the look of the bulky Garmins and other fitness trackers, but I guess it's time to start looking at those. 😔
