Vertical faded white bars on Charge 3

Hi there,

So recently I've been experiencing some issues with the charge 3 which I've had for about 6 months.

At the top of the screen there seems to be bars which have cut off sections of the display.

As well as this there are vertical faded white lines on the display.

Not only this but the touch screen capabilities don't seem to be responding.

I've updated the firmware recently and have also tried the changing of the clock face as described in other entries with this similar issue is there any other advice that you can give?

Thanks

Josh

Hi @JoshRStephens! Thank you for the troubleshooting steps, that you have already performed. In this case I suggest that you try restarting your Charge 3: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

In case this situation persists, I kindly ask you to perform a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and a total of 7 short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Plug the device into the charging cable again

Let me know if it worked!

@Odyssey13 thanks for reaching out to us!

Hi there,

I have tried both of the tips provided to no avail, fortunately I have insurance on the item which was obtained upon purchase and so will return the item to the insurers but thank you for your help anyway.

I've had this happen to me twice now on two different Charge 3. I don't know if it has anything to do with being used in the pool.  It's very frustrating! If there isn't a fix for it, I'm getting a different one from  a different company.
