Vibrates but no display nor holding charge.

I have had my Charge 4 for the past year and a half, and it has sadly stopped working. It started with the battery dying quickly, within hours, and then the active display stopped responding to wrist turns. I attempted several resets, reset Bluetooth on the phone, and reinstalled the app but to no avail. Finally, the watch display went completely blank. It will vibrate when I plug it in and when I press the button while it's charging, but no display. I am missing the use of my Fitbit, and I would like to fix it if possible.

Something very similar to this is happening to my Charge 4.  I've had mine for about a year and a half, and its symptoms are almost identical.  The only difference is I did not have any warning.  Mine was charging fine right up until it went dark. I can't use it, so I think I'm going to send it back to Fitbit.

My Charge 4 has also stopped working and is doing this after 17 months of use. I too have done the resetting and everything in the article regarding battery life. Very strange that this is happening to all of us!

I have had my fitbit for about 7and a half months.  It will suddenly have low battery with no warning.  It also will not hold a charge for a period longer that 3 hours if it is tracking a hike or other type of workout.  Is this how your situation started?

Started having the same issues at about 13 months. I switched back to an older one that has screen issues. Recently tried the charge 4 and it started working again but needed charged twice a day. After two days, back to not charging or turning on and vibrating when touching the, uh, button, I guess that's what to call it.

Similar thing is happening to me, although mine started with not being able to swipe left to get to the other apps; followed advice given but nothing worked now screen is blank but it does vibrate but what use is that - seems like a lot of people are having problems with fitbits after 18 months - they should work for longer than that.

Hi,

I had initial problem with not holding charge (after a year and a half of working fine), and then i left it charging for two days and it was not recording my steps. I got onto support. I had rebooted by going to settings-about-reboot on the device. The support guy got me to

1. Put Charge 4 on charge

2. Hold in button for 8 seconds. Reboots and comes up with smiley face

3. Leave it to charge to 100%

Now it appears to be holding charge and recording steps. This is since yesterday evening. So appears to be fixed. If problem re-occurs will update this.

Tried this and made no difference for me.  Will be contacting support

Sorry to hear they did not work for you. Mine is still working. Keeping an eye on it to see if is having to be charged more frequently. I used online chat for support call. If you do this make sure to ask for call reference so you have that if you need to call back.
