I have had my Charge 3 for about a week.
When I raise and turn my wrist to check the time, the watch face does not display. If I tap the screen with my finger, then it displays.
I have attempted all wrist motions I can think of, and followed suggestions on this forum for how to turn my arm to get the watch face to show, but nothing helps.
It seems to me it was working the first few days, but has stopped in the last two or three days.
Everything else on the watch is working perfectly. I'm hoping this is just some setting I have accidentally changed, or can set back, and not the early symptoms of a malfunctioning device.

Thank you. That was exactly the problem.
Now I have not only turned the screen wake function back on, but, now I know that holding the side button for an extended time brings up some options settings, which I hadn't noticed before.

THANK YOU!!! This has been driving me crazy all afternoon! must have hit it without noticing and couldn't find anything in the app to fix it. Fitbit developers should really add this option to the APP settings too, as it's super frustrating when you dont know it can only be changed on the device.

My Fitbit doesn't show a watchface. When the screen lights up it starts at the 'Steps' screen.
Can anybody tell me how to get it to show the watch!?

Thank you. But you must hold side button down for 1-2 seconds. Then the screen will pop up

You have to hold down side button for tad bit longer, then the Screen Awake will show.
