What I hate most about my Charge 2: Sync Reqires GPS

I have Charge 2 and would like to keep it always synced with my App. However, GPS must be on all time to work! GPS drains battery! At least make it an option so that whoever likes use it and if someone doesn't need, doesn't!

Hi, @alireza.nasibi! Unfortunately, this is not a Fitbit requirement, this is an OS requirement. I have found at least on my old phone (haven't really tried it so much with the newer versions of the app/phone) that if you turned off GPS and force synced it for a while you would eventually be able to do it.

No GPS will only be turned on when an app requests it to be turned on.

Android requires location services to be enabled, enabling location services will not turn on GPS on. Think of this as your front door, when the door is locked no one will be able to open it. When the door is unlocked it does not mean that everybody needs to open and walk through, it simply means that it a person would like to, they will be able to open the door.

In most cases if tu ning on location services cause battery drain, it usually means that you have given permission to the wrong apps to access your location.
