Hi, Can someone tell me the MET score that is attached to Pilates in the Exercise section?
I have seen other posts about Pilates not showing as Active minutes - which is my issue as well. However none of the replies has answered the question as far as I can tell.
So for example, today I went to Reformer Pilates class and I manually logged an activity of 1 hour
first to "Pilates" and I got 129 calories burned and 0 active minutes. (this happens if I track the exercise in real time as well)
Now if I delete that entry, and manually add 1 hour to "Weights" (the same hour, with all the same captured data) gives me 220 calories and 60 active minutes.
Something tells me the algorithm for calculating calories burned in fitbit is using an incorrect MET score for Pilates, or maybe none at all. According to Omics Online - general Pilates should have a MET score of 3.8 - slightly higher than Weights. https://www.omicsonline.org/articles-images/2157-7595-6-220-t003.html
So can someone from Fitbit tell me the MET score for pilates? Thank you! Liz

@LizA7 A warm welcome to our Community!
Thank you for your inquiry. I don't have this information as the algorithms used are propietary information. You can try going to an online calorie calculator and see how many calories are granted usually for this activity and enter them when logging the activity. This could change the active minutes calculation.
Let me know how it goes.
