I don't understand how the sleep log works, where I can see the sleep log, and what it has to do with the Sleep Score. Are there any instructions or a manual?

@Jbstewart Here is a link to Fitbit's Help article: What's sleep score in the Fitbit app? There is an image of what you see when you tap on your Sleep tile on the mobile app. Those individual day records are each a sleep log. The Help article tells you how a sleep score is calculated. Deeper sleep analysis is a Premium feature.
I hope you will find answers to your questions. Please come back if you need more help.

No, I don't understand. When I click on the sleep tile, I am asked if I want to add a sleep log. Why? Why add a sleep log if Fitbit is measuring my sleep?

@Jbstewart I think I know what's happening, based on what you wrote. It sounds like you are tapping on or extremely close to the "+" sign. This shows you the dialog box you describe. Tap on the sleep icon, or just about anywhere else, and you should see the page shown in the linked Help article. Here is the link to the Charge 4 manual for other information.
Here is some additional information about the Today screen on the mobile app. Other tiles have a "+" sign. This is a shortcut to log an item manually.

@Jbstewart the option to add a sleep log was added at the request of fitbit users. My thought is that they simply want to document why they received the score that they received
