I've had my charge 3 for about 6 months, I liked it well enough for steps, but now I'm actively working out and it sucks!
I have 2 other HRMs, a Rhythm+ by Scosche and a Zephyr HxM. while working out, I tracked all three devices, the fitbit was 20+ bits off from the other two consistently... thats just unacceptable
I am using a rowing machine, and the fitbit will not "sync" with the rowing up, oh and I can't import the work out from the rowing app (TCX imports). I have to use some other partner app (I tried the UA apps) to "partner" my workouts into fitbit, but they loose stats, the Heart rate data is not synced properly, the strokes, to splits, even the distance and calories are off. my last work out 30 mins on the rower, 3500m Heart rate over 120 for 15 mins at 150 for over 5... fitbit sees me at 98...I get a credit of 170 Cal, instead of the 450+ the rowing app suggests and the UA app suggest
Fitbit, you are are missing the boat here, you need to allow importing of TCX files, you need to make your device and platform more accurate, your partner apps need to be allow to transmit all data gathered. I wont buy another device, and I wont recommend it to anyone else...I will attempt to find a "more compatible" device in the future. Fitbit, you have to remember, there are better apps out there for tracking excessive, you need to allow collaboration, allow your HRM to sync to any app, and attempt to make it a little more accurate, I mean I can except a 5 bit difference, maybe even a 10 bit (if I'm at full tile in the 150+ zone) but 20+ is just crap!
open up your platform, you will make more money with happier customers or make a more compatible app... as of now it's just fitSh@t
