I am a loyal fitbit user from day one. I use my Charge 2 to track my workouts and elliptical cardio sessions. What happened to the "workout' and "elliptical" options for exercise tracking on the Charge 3. I work with a trainer where we do strength, interval and cardio training so I need a broader category than weight or running. I also have a back issue that only allows for elliptical workouts and that is no longer a choice for exercise tracking. This is a significant step back from the Charge 2. Is this going to be addressed or do I have to return my Charge3. An answer would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried this over and over and it keeps going back to the preprogrammed exercises. I’ve tried everything. Synced it several times and every time it goes back. Help!!!!

Hi
is there anyone that can help me. I always used the workout setting on my charge 2 as I do mostly circuit and hitt sessions.
I cant find this on my charge 3. Last night I worked out and tried looking at screen during to see my hr but it’s so small I can’t see easily when not working out and definitely can’t see while exercising.
I thought I read it picked exercise up automatically. I did two 45 min classes and when I got home and looked st my phone it said I did 25mins of exercise! I put the sessions on manually and I was always in fatburn but mostly cardio and a bit of peak for wn hour and a half! Bit annoying so I really need to know how to press at beginning of my workout like I used to do on my charge 2.
I am disappointed I find this band so much more comfortable and I am trying so much to like It as I paid £130 for an upgrade when my 2 still worked.
Im so hoping I am able to do this as it really probably is useless to me especially having no date and that I can’t really see any of the icons except the huge white clock. Have I just spent £130 on a watch ?
Many help would be greatly appreciate. Thank you

In the app click on the picture of the charge 3 scroll down until you see exercise shortcuts click on that. You will see 6 short cuts that's all that's allowed. Swipe one of them left to clear and a blue plus sign will appear in top right corner. Press that and you will see a list, press the elliptical to put a tick in box then at the bottom press add to charge 3. Hope that helps 😀

You absolute star. Spot on, elliptical and walk added in exchange for interval and weights. Thanks so much

Just go to the Account icon; then tap the Charge 3 icon; then go to Exercise Shortcuts.
At this point you remove the exercises you don’t want and add Elliptical, etc.
Then you need to sync.

I don’t understand at all how you sync elliptical with the Fitbit while you do the exercise. I have it in my log where I can edit that I’ve been on it but putting in the minutes. But I can’t track it by pressing start like I can for a walk.
I just did 15 mins on my elliptical. So I go into the app where I click on log and add 15 mins elliptical. It then edits my exercise up by 15 mins but says average heart rate 71 during exercise. Yet I had the app open and was at 160 for most of it. Is there a way to get the Fitbit to track elliptical while I am actually using it?
