I wear my Fitbit around my laces while at work is this as accurate as wearing it on your wrist?

I've seen numerous posts where people have reported that the step count can be as accurate as wearing on your wrist (and in some situations more accurate) but my concern would be the accuracy of the calories burned calculation.
Years ago I did some tests and found that calories burned were higher when worn on the shoe. The other issue would be that the loss of heart rate tracking would lead to a drop in accuracy.
If steps are your main interest then it's probably ok but be wary if calorie tracking is important to you.

I'm guessing here but I would think that the lack of heart rate tracking risks your active minutes being lower as it would just have your step tracking to go by.
