White Lines on Screen and Not holding a Charge-Charge 3

I just purchased my Charge 3 for Christmas.  Within the last week or so the screen has become slow to wake and today has multiple white horizontal lines across it making it impossible to read.  Also today my device died after being charged to 93%.  I have already attempted all the suggestions I could find within the forum.  Including restarting multiple times (5-7), changing the clock face, and stopping auto sync/ syncing manually to my iPhone. Concerning the charge:  Device has only been charged via UL certified plug since purchase. Device has only been worn in shower 4 times since purchase and never been in any other water source.  

I am extremely frustrated since this same thing happened to my husband's Inspire HR about 6 weeks ago.  4 days ago he received the Charge 3 as a gift since I was so happy with mine and now mine seems to be on the same downward spiral as the HR.   Any help would be much appreciated.
