So at weekend I was driving in a race mini, not the fastest or most radical racing car, these are my Fitbit results from Friday when I did four x 15 min test sessions. Is it the tilt switches in the Fitbit that get confused during hard braking and high g? Anyone else notice funny Results like these?

Looks to me like it is a pretty bumpy ride. It will count false steps when it is
You can enter a driving record to get rid of them

Hi Wendy
Thanks for the link!
It's super-smooth flat tarmac. Also the number of flights of stairs always amuses me... It obviously thinks I running like really fast uphill 😉

Maybe rapid changes in acceleration, both forward (when you brake) and backward when you put your foot down on the gas and then going around tight corners ... all motion that is sensed by a 3-axis accelerator as "activity" - it's just a sensor, it doesn't know what you are doing, it just knows what's happening to it!.

When ifttt comes to floors, these ste counters by looking at air pressure while the tracker thinks the user is walking. Changes in thre air pressure from the wind blowing around the vehicle may be reasonable.
