I’m using a charge for on my iPhone and voiceover to read the screen. I am frustrated and that when I click on community at the bottom of the screen and then friends and then look at my average steps I sometimes get the actual average but more often end up getting the total number of steps sometimes as high as 110 and 130,000 steps. I have called Fitbit and mentioned this to the customer service representatives I am spoken with. And now for more than a year this has continued to happen. Every time I get a new update I anxiously install it hoping that the issues that relate to compatibility with the iPhone and the voiceover app provided by Apple being corrected.  I have offered to speak with someone anyone who cares about the issues that I am having with the Fitbit app and it’s compatibility with voiceover and as of now have never heard from a single person.

Hello @Podunk

I don’t believe it has anything to do the Fitbit Apps compatibility with voiceover. I personally have experienced the issue you are describing giving me outrageous inflated numbers on the average steps page compared to friends using the community button and I don’t use voiceover. I’ve started experiencing this several years ago. The problem is not always there and seems to be completely random. It can be displayed wrong one day then right for several weeks then revert to being wrong again for days. I do know this has been brought up in the community forums in the past but no resolution was ever forthcoming that I’ve seen or heard of. I don’t have any tips to help rectify the problem as I have tried to fix it many times and each time it has failed. I know this was not the answer you were looking for but I guess it does let you know that it’s not a voiceover issue and you are not alone in your issue as well. I can’t say this will be fixed in a future update because it’s been going on for so long I think individuals just accept it happens at times and moves on so, it never really gets the attention it deserves.
😉 I do hope my post provided you with some clarity about what your experiencing

Thank you for confirming that it is not me or the iPhone voiceover app.

It appears to me that wishes addressed with the customer service representatives and by the community with application issues are not being addressed seriously.

Your welcome @Podunk

I wish I had all the answers but sadly I don’t. I don’t work for Fitbit as I’m just a consumer like yourself. But hopefully a moderator will see this post (the do indeed monitor it) and it will bring new light into a very old issue that certainly deserves to be addressed.
🤞😉 Fingers crossed

It is a new year and I still open my Fitbit app on my iPhone and click on community to look at average daily steps. If I click on the tile to get my daily steps and look at trophies and awards, I find that the first time I get average daily steps that appear to be correct. if I close out the screen and later go back in I find that the information as far as average steps is incorrect. Today the second time I clicked on the screen my average daily steps was 142,414. As noted above, this has been a long standing issue  That has not been addressed. Does anyone have any idea when this might be addressed now that Google software developers are working with Fitbit programmers to improve the iOS experience.
