Will Charge 2 or Charge HR Bands Fit A Charge?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have an old school Charge... no HR, not a 2.  The band is very worn, but no one sells regular Charge bands anymore.  Would a Charge HR or a Charge 2 band fit my Charge?  Thanks!

No they will not. The Charge also doesn't not have  changeable bands either.

Did you get a resolve for this as I'm in the same position. Fitbit say they're not "interchangeable", but you can buy straps on ebay for the Charge 2 & the Charge HR.  I've already removed the electronics which was easy enough - but obviously need a new housing now...

If you get an update - please post!

Same here. I've had three original Charge models. The first two straps just came away within the first year and FitBit kindly swapped them. Now the same has happened on my third and FitBit have offered a 25% discount of off a new purchase. Not an unfair offer but the device still works, I just want a strap. It seems silly that even if FitBit don't make an official replacement that the Charge HR doesn't fit.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has tried a Charge HR strap on the original Charge unit?  Is it the same strap?

I would love to know the answer to this for sure. I have 3 Fitbit Charge. The electronics all work fine but the bands have all bubbled and otherwise come apart. Those straps are useless. I'd like to keep using my Fitbit but can't.

I attempted to get my Fit Bit charge to fit into a Fit Bit Charge HR band, doesn't work.  Screws do not line up $12 down the drain.)

I have the same issue with the surge.

I know this doesn't exactly answer your question....

Yesterday at Target, I found a Charge 2 (the regular, not HR) band on clearance.  I have the Charge HR 2 and needed a new band, so I bought it, and figured if it didn't fit my Fitbit I would just return it.  Well it fits perfect.

I would tentatively say yes to your question, but it worked in reverse for me.  Good luck!

Thanks for your response. You're obviously from the states simply because we up here in Canada had Targit open multiple stores here a few years ago and then for whatever reason they all went belly up. Which I don't understand because Walmart thrives up here.
Anyway I've moved on to the Fitbit Alta HR and even with that I had to get in touch with Fitbit and have them send me a new strap as the original one kept detaching.
Fitbit makes a good tracker but their straps need improving across many of the different units.
Thanks again.

Thanks for stopping by @Harbog, and @SunsetRunner! I appreciate your help and all your input. This is really helpful for us and keep us improving our products and services.

To clarify a little, at the moment the only trackers with interchangeable bands are:

  • Ace
  • Flex 2
  • Alta
  • Alta HR
  • Charge 2
  • Versa
  • Ionic

I hope this helps, keep me posted! 🙂

I’m on my third surge band. I’ve ordered the replacement bands on AliExpress shipped to Canada for about $5 total. Easy little YouTube video walked me through the change with ease even though they are considered “not” replaceable.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for posting your findings. Please take in consideration that if your Fitbit device is still covered under the warranty, changing its hardware will automatically void it, nevertheless, I appreciate you have shared your opinion with us.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a great day.

Fitbit did not make the strap on the original Charge serviceable but has not taken responsibility for their mistake. The original charge with the substandard strap is completely useless without a proper strap. Fit bit's solution, after selling a completely useless product, of offering a 25% discount IF you buy another product from them is just pathetic and not taking responsibility for an egregious design error.

I appreciate you have taken the time to share your feedback with us. Our team is always taking in consideration your suggestions, please note that due to the feedback provided by many users, the bands on newer trackers are detachable.

I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences this issue has caused you, please remember that we do not expect manufacturing issues to to affect our trackers but that's why every Fitbit tracker comes a limited product warranty and in case you have inquiries or doubts about what it covers, you can check it on this article: Return Policy & Warranty.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a great day.

useless response.....useless product if you can't even replace a band that fails frequently.....Fitbit should have refunded ALL customers.....I for one (and several friends/colleagues) will never buy another Fitbit product.....

@Maya35 fitbit bands tend to be different for each model so you can't use an Alta band with a Charge 2 (or vice versa)
