Won't turn on and now gives me a dead battery symbol

When I got my Charge HR out of the box yesterday when I received it from Amazon. I charged it but Couldn't get it to sync. I tried restarting it several times and that did nothing. I charged it over night having read on this forum that it worked for someone this way. I then restarted and got it to sync but only barely and the screen stayed black the whole time. Now it will only sync when charging and constantly has the dead battery symbol on it and won't restart. I tried checking the software and it is fully updated as was suggested on another post on this forum. Please help. I have been so excited for this purchase and am devastated that I can not use it.

You've done an excellent job with those step. In this case, let's un-pair your Charge HR from the Fitbit App, in order to do so let's try the following:  Go to the Dashboard on the Fitbit app > tap on your tracker's picture > tap on remove device. Also confirm that you've removed it for the Bluetooth section on the settings.

 

Then let's try to set it up again by following the steps here. Confirm that your phone is the list of compatible device and that it fits all the Fitbit requirements. If this is a new tracker it shouldn't be having battery issues, but let's give it a try before checking with our support team.

I unpaired and paired again and am still having the same issues. It is telling me the battery is dead and was only able to pair while plugged in. It has been on the charger for 20 hrs now.
