Wrist rotation not working on Charge HR

Hi, I am new to the fitbit experience. I have just recently purchased a fitbit and I've heard that when you rotate your wrist, the screen comes on. When I rotate my wrist, the screen does not come on. Is there anything I can do to make this work? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Still not working even with instructions to click on gear icon since there isn’t one in the top right corner. Tried also changing settings on Fitbit itself. It was working until upgrade done

I have the versa. I just held the button on the left side of the watch until screen awake and notifications come up I then make sure that screen awake was set to auto. Then everything started working for me. Give it a try

on the Charge 3, hold down button on left side of charge. It’ll immediately say screen wake. Tap it and it looks lit on. Hope that’s what you are looking for!

On my INSPIRE HR, when I rotate my wrist to see what time it is, the time doesn’t appear.
I need two hands to see what time it is. Ahhh!

To y’all who is facing the issue with screen rotation, hold the left button on your device (watch) for 3 seconds, then turn on the ‘screen wake’ button, thank me later

On my Fitbit versa if you hold down the button on the left of the watch it will come up saying screen awake that must be set to auto. Somehow mine was turned off so my wrist rotation did not work but once I put that to auto it worked hope this helps
